 Howe ISD Local Wellness Policy:
Each year the SHAC Committee is involved in the Implementation of the Local Wellness Policy.  The committee is made up of school personnel (Food Service Director, Nurse, Coach, Counselor) and parents and meets four times per year to assess the implementation of the Local Wellness Policy.   Howe ISD welcomes anyone who wishes to participate in the SHAC committee to contact Darla Williams, Assistant Superintendent at 903-532-3203.
Howe ISD participates in the National School Lunch and National School Breakfast program.  We offer a hot nutritious breakfast and lunch meal meeting the requirements of the NSLP and NSBP.  We encourage students to participate in the breakfast meal program as students learn better when coming to class after consuming  a  nutritious breakfast.
You can apply for the Free and Reduced Program anytime during the school year.  You can receive an application from each school office-cafeteria and at the Director of Food Service office which is located at 105 W. Tutt Street, Howe Texas  75459.
For questions or suggestions please contact Sally Abercrombie, Food Service Director at or call 903-532-3346 or fax: 903-532-3347.
